Our history of service started right at the very beginning. Bay Bloor Radio opened in 1946 as a tiny radio sales and repair shop. Founding owner Sol Mandlsohn used to boast that he could fix a radio in the time it took to smoke a cigarette (until his wife Peppie made him quit).
When you shop at BBR, you gain access to our industry-leading Service Department, with in-house advisers and technicians standing by to assist with questions and troubleshooting.

Our Service Policy
Wherever possible, we service what we sell.
In-Warranty
Many of our brand partners empower us to assist Bay Bloor Radio customers directly with in-warranty repairs and exchanges, making things simple. In other cases, including televisions, brands manage the warranty directly through their own service networks; we will help connect you to their process and provide any necessary proof-of-purchase documentation.
Out-of-Warranty
If something has gone wrong with an item you have purchased from Bay Bloor Radio and it is outside the manufacturer's warranty period, we will gladly have a look at it to determine if we can service it, and if not, perhaps recommend other avenues to pursue. Before proceeding, we will always provide you with a repair cost estimate for your approval.
Vintage Items / Non-BBR Purchases
For vintage items and products purchased elsewhere, a lack of original parts availability from trusted suppliers has made repairs challenging. While we are happy to take a look at these items and can in some cases assist with simple repairs, given resource limitations, we will often suggest contacting a specialist repair business for more comprehensive work beyond the scope of what we offer.
