Composite dome driver

The W-shaped cone made of ceramic-reinforced polymer composite material offers an increased effective piston area. Optimization with Multi-Layer Distributed Compensation (MLD) ensures uniform piston vibration over the entire frequency range, significantly improving the upper limit of high-frequency extension. The frequency bandwidth ranges from 5 to 44,500 Hz, whereby non-linear distortions are practically imperceptible.

Through the innovative integration of acoustic metamaterials into the headphone design — the patented "Dragon Scale" acoustic prism  — the sound waves from the rear chambers are precisely modulated. This leads to a significant improvement in the sound image and at the same time eliminates typical acoustic colourations such as resonances that often occur with closed headphones. The SR7000 ensures an even distribution of energy across the entire frequency spectrum without unnatural fluctuations in the mids and bass. The result is a tonal balance and naturalness that was previously hard to find in closed-back headphones, especially at this price point.

Suspension Surround

for deep resonance

The specially optimized, independent and flexible suspension surround gently supports the ceramic-polymer cone in the air and ensures stable positioning with large cone movements. The air flow channels are specially optimized for the reproduction of low and resonant frequencies. The flexible suspension surround of the SR7000 enables low frequency reproduction comparable to that of main monitors in a standardized reference listening room. This results in outstanding dynamics, excellent bass extension and a powerful, elastic response.

Angled drivers

for large soundstage

The Tilted Acoustic Matrix is a computer-aided sound correction system that combines highly tilted drivers with ear cups that are also tilted. This innovative arrangement enables a more intense spatial experience and more precise sound reproduction. Thanks to this technology, the closed-back SR7000 delivers an open, spatial sound image that significantly exceeds the performance of even some open-back headphones.

The SR7000 features the highly acclaimed “Concentric Circle” adjustment system, which ensures exceptional wearing comfort — so comfortable that you won't want to take them off. The headband and overall curvature have been continuously optimized to improve compatibility with different head sizes and ensure a perfect fit with minimal pressure or discomfort. The ear pads are designed to fully enclose the ears, so that even prolonged listening is possible without disturbing others.
