Bryston BP-19 Analog Preamplifier

The Bryston BP-19 leverages years of R&D and many design innovations that were achieved during the development of the multi-award-winning BR-20 preamplifier. The BP-19 reproduces music effortlessly, constructed using only the finest hand-selected premium components including an oversized toroidal power transformer. The optimized discrete operational amplifier delivers a staggeringly low THD+N measurement at or below 0.0006%.

The signal path features a fully balanced design from input-to-output, using an array of very tightly matched components and a compact circuit architecture, achieving the lowest possible noise and superior common mode rejection. For the devoted music enthusiast, these innovations, combined with the legendary hand-built excellence from Bryston, translate to more lifelike performances, enhanced detail, and a greater sense of dimensionality and dynamics from all recordings.

The major contributor is the fact that we can keep a fully balanced signal path throughout the signal path in the BP-19. In the past, a fully balanced signal path was difficult to achieve because you would need a volume pot with 4 tapers. With the volume control chips, this is no longer an issue. The new design does have a lower noise floor than previous design but it’s much better at suppressing common mode.

BRYSTON Bi-200 ANALOG CIRCUITS

The Bi-200 analog integrated amplifier is a byproduct of years of R&D that resulted in the development of an optimized discrete buffer amplifier capable of delivering a staggeringly low THD+N distortion.

The analog signal path is a fully balanced design, using an array of very tightly matched components and a compact circuit design to achieve the lowest possible noise and superior common mode rejection. With the new balanced inputs and outputs we have been able to make significant improvements in performance in the Bi-200.

In the past, a fully balanced signal path was difficult to achieve because you would need a volume pot with 4 tapers. With the availability of these new volume control chips, this is no longer an issue. This new design allows for a lower noise floor than previous designs and is much better at common mode noise suppression. For the music enthusiast, this level of circuit sophistication means more lifelike performances, more detail and more dimensionality from the recordings you love.

DEDICATED HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER

The BP-19 features Bryston’s most powerful onboard headphone amplifier ever offered, providing the high-output and critical low-output impedance to drive even inefficient headphone models.

The new Low Z headphone amp utilized in the BP-19 delivers startling clarity and dynamic capability second only to Bryston’s legendary BHA-1 outboard headphone amplifier.

CONTROL

The BP-19 includes elegant front panel controls plus a BR-4 handheld remote. With six inputs available on the BP-19 remote, as well as Volume, Mute, and Power.

The front panel LEDs and White display can be dimmed and the display is automatically disabled after a set time. The LED’s can also be GREEN or RED utilizing the display menu.

If you are using a Bryston digital player like the BDP-3 or the BDP-31.4 the remote can also control Previous and Next etc. on your music files.
