FULLY AUTOMATIC HI-FI TURNTABLE WITH BUILT-IN PHONO PREAMP
Robust, precise, reliable
The fully automatic functionality of the CS 429 provides maximum ease of use for playing your 33-1⁄3, 45, and 78 rpm records. The tonearm automatically lifts, shifts across, and drops autonomously with the push of a button. Simply place the vinyl record on the platter and push Start. Once a side of the record has played through, the tonearm lifts, returns to rest, and the motor shuts off on its own for peace of mind.
That doesn't mean this turntable isn't well-suited towards the vinyl enthusiast, as it remains customizable. While the excellent Ortofon 2M Red moving magnet cartridge is included, CS 429 has a fully adjustable tonearm. This provides the option to change and upgrade your phono cartridge in the future, and to alter the tracking force and anti-skating accordingly. There's also a built-in phono preamplifier which can be enabled or bypassed.
The internal rubber damping construction decouples the tonearm and platter from external vibrations. This very quiet platform — combined with precise optical speed control — provides excellent sound performance.
