L100 CLASSIC MKII
12-inch (300mm) 3-way Bookshelf Loudspeakers
In 1970, JBL released the iconic L100 Loudspeaker. Over the years, the L100 became the bestselling loudspeaker in JBL’s history. Over 50 years later, Bay Bloor Radio is proud to present the JBL L100 Classic Mk2, a modern take on a time-honoured legend.
The Classic features vintage styling, including a retro-inspired design and iconic Quadrex foam grille, with upgraded JBL acoustic components and technology to improve the sound quality of this classic loudspeaker.
In addition to performance enhancements to the woofer, midrange, and tweeter, the L100 Classic MkII features a revised crossover network to include bi-wire/bi-amp capabilities via a premium terminal cup with dual sets of gold-plated binding posts.
After all these years, you'll still be blown away.
The original L100 production run included the L100, along with the subsequent L100A and L100 Century evolutions that quickly followed and ran thru the end of production in 1978. That fundamental compact 12-inch 3-way design is maintained in the L100 Classic with improvements made to the transducers, enclosure tuning, and crossover network design.
Designed by Chris Hagen, the same acoustic system engineer that created the L100T3 in 1988, the L100 Classic MkII benefits from decades of JBL engineering prowess along with the world’s most advanced acoustic engineering resources available in HARMAN’s Northridge, California design center.
The L100 Classic MkII features a genuine walnut satin wood veneer cabinet and a striking Quadrex foam grille in orange. Black or blue grilles can be purchased separately ($475/pair) as a part. Beneath this compelling exterior lie modern acoustic components that deliver stunning sound and imaging sure to please any music lover.
