Dual 8” (200mm) Passive In-Wall Subwoofer

The SSW-4 is an in-wall subwoofer system designed to deliver powerful and accurate low frequency response while remaining hidden from view. It features dual 8-inch (200mm) low-profile woofers mounted in a heavily-braced molded baffle and an MDF Enclosure that installs into standard 2x4 wood frame wall construction.

Its self-contained module with integrated back box makes it easy to retrofit existing installations, without the need for installing a large enclosure behind the drywall. Optimized for the highest level of performance and reliability, its compact enclosure is designed to fit into standard 2×4 wall construction and includes both dog legs and rubber isolation screw mounts for direct attachment to traditional 16” on-center framing. 

The subwoofer is driven by dual 8-inch front-firing, aluminum cone drivers mounted into a rigid baffle assembly that installs into the back-box enclosure. System tuning is via a sealed cabinet design. Gold-plated, spring-loaded binding posts ensure reliable connections, while a zero-bezel magnetically-attached grille provides for a discrete installation.

The SSW-4 combines deep and moving bass with lifelike realism for a remarkable home cinema and concealed music system experience. The SSW-4 is designed to be powered by the JBL Synthesis SDA-1700 or SDA-8300, and performs in small to medium rooms.
