The MKII’s updated processing architecture delivers cleaner scaling, smoother gradation handling, and more consistent tone mapping across HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision sources. Studio-Quality Audio
The UDP800 MKII preserves the bit-perfect pure-audio foundation of the original model while refining every stage of the signal path for lower noise, tighter accuracy, and greater transparency. Its enhanced multi-layer PCB layout improves isolation between analog, digital, and power domains, reducing interference and preserving the integrity of the decoded signal.
With each channel independently wired, two independent Burr-Brown PCM 1795 DAC processors handle the two-channel D/A conversion with improved support circuitry and upgraded analog-stage components. The MKII’s refined output stage features 7 next-generation, low-distortion 1602 op-amps selected for smoother harmonic structure, increased detail retrieval, and a more effortless sense of space.
Both stereo XLR balanced outputs and stereo RCA gold-plated unbalanced outputs offer versatile connectivity. They have been further shielded and enhanced, feeding downstream amplifiers with increased stability, reduced noise, and greater dynamic headroom. The result is reference-grade bit-perfect playback — wider soundstage, clearer micro-detail, lower background noise, and a more lifelike sense of presence.

UDP800 MKII adopts a solid high-rigidity metal body and a reinforced double layer chassis structure. The internal main components are independently shielded by metal casing, greatly reducing vibration, noise and external magnetic field interference, bringing pure and high-resolution audio and video quality.
The UDP800 MKII introduces a completely redesigned audio platform, engineered for lower noise, cleaner power delivery, and higher overall fidelity. The new architecture features premium OPA1602 op-amps, improved analog-stage layout, and tighter signal routing for greater clarity and resolution.
While the occasional disc misread or skip can be a rare and unfortunate nature of the beast with Blu-ray, mechanical performance of the player has been elevated with a reworked disc drive and enhanced noise-suppression system, reducing vibration and mechanical chatter for quieter, more accurate playback—even with challenging or aging discs.
Connectivity and internal reliability have been strengthened with an upgraded USB subsystem for cleaner external-media playback, along with JST and Amphenol connectors throughout the signal path for improved precision, stability, and long-term durability. A refined chassis structure and optimized grounding complete the MKII platform, delivering a cleaner, quieter, and more stable foundation that elevates performance across both audio and video output.
