AMP 30 is a remarkably powerful, slimline 6-channel amplifier that can be paired with an AV preamplifier for an outstanding home theatre system. AMP 30 is rated at 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 400 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and is built on Marantz’s exclusive HDAM and high-efficiency low-distortion Class D amplification.

Combine with additional AMP 30, AMP 20 or AMP 10 power amplifiers to drive more complex speaker configurations.

Each of the six 200-watt channels can operate independently, or channel pairs can be switched into bi-amp mode to drive individual speakers more effectively. AMP 30 also supports bridged (BTL) mode to produce up to 400 watts per channel into 8 ohms across three channels — providing flexibility and high output where needed.

Gold-plated RCA and high-grade XLR connectors accept audio input from most surround processors. Custom Marantz SPKT-1+ binding posts are ergonomic and provide the best possible coupling to loudspeaker cables. Low-distortion, high-power output offers ample drive for virtually any loudspeaker configuration to maximize performance.

 

When paired with AV 30 via the included link cable, AMP 30 can be controlled using the preamplifier. Power and illumination settings sync seamlessly for a unified experience.

 

 

Marantz HDAM-SA2

Typical amplifiers use typical parts. Exceptional amplifiers like AMP 30 use bespoke technologies to achieve ultimate performance. Marantz has further optimized our legendary HDAM-SA2 circuitry for use in all signal paths. HDAM-SA2’s high slew rate and low impedance maximize clarity, resolution, and tone.

 

Custom Class D

AMP 30 renders dynamics with lifelike impact and clarity thanks to custom Class D amplification. Channel pairs synchronize switching frequencies, heavy buss bars replace typical wiring harnesses for better current delivery, and custom curated ingredients elevate innovative engineering into the realm of rare excellence.

 

Bi-Amp Mode
Many high-end loudspeakers can be driven by two amplifiers at once (known as bi-amping)—one for low frequencies and one for high frequencies. AMP 30 can pair channels into bi-amp mode to maximize performance from loudspeakers that benefit from this feature.

 

BTL Mode
Need more power from fewer channels? Designed for flexibility, AMP 30 can also be configured in bridged-tied-load (BTL) mode, combining pairs of channels to deliver up to three channels of 400 watts when higher output is required.
