Blessing 3
2DD+4BA In-Ear Monitor
The Blessing has become Moondrop's benchmark product, achieving global recognition thanks to its reasonable price, innovative acoustic design, and excellent performance.
After more than three years of constant development and tuning, Blessing 3 is here to set a new standard of sound.
It furthers the "physical frequency division" concept of previous models, accurately separating different frequency bands and directing them to the appropriate drivers to ensure you get the best listening experience. The result is a more authentic, more open, and more textured sound.
- Moondrop purchases from Bay Bloor Radio include an authorized 1-year Canadian Warranty, featuring local repair/replacement without requiring you to incur international shipping costs.
- All products are shipped from our Toronto-based store, with no surprise cross-border fees or import duties.
Advanced Hybrid Design
Blessing 3 continues the physical frequency division framework of previous versions through the use of state-of-the-art 3D printing. It utilizes a new horizontally-opposed double-dynamic bass driver module that delivers higher dynamic range and lower dynamic nonlinear distortion than previous generations. Despite this, the bass has carefully been tuned to be controlled, accurate, and not overblown.
Improved implementation of hybrid frequency division has further optimized the continuity and smoothness of the mid-highs, ensuring ultra-high detail thanks to the proficient balanced armature drivers. Combined with a brand-new bass module, the result is a full-bodied and authentically natural sound quality throughout the frequency spectrum, covering all the notes in your music.
H.O.D.D.D.U.S.
The new scientifically-designed horizontally-opposed double dynamic driver module further demonstrates the advantages of the hybrid earphone in bass dynamics.
H.O.D.D.D.U.S. (Horizontally Opposed Dual Dynamic Drivers Unit System) uses dual 10mm dynamic drivers arranged closely and symmetrically using 3D-printed modular components. The components form a physical band-pass filter comprising two independent filtering structures and damping devices, thereby facilitating acoustic adjustment.
Thanks to the use of dual 10mm dynamic drivers, the maximum sound pressure of Blessing 3 is double that of the previous model, and the diaphragm stroke under the same sound pressure is less than half, giving the bass of Blessing 3 a larger dynamic range and lower nonlinear distortion, and significantly improving the sound quality of lower frequencies.
The symmetrical H.O.D.D.D.U.S. arrangement focuses the magnetic field at the magnetic gap of the two dynamic drivers, leveraging the same principle found in planar magnetic earphones.
This not only improves energy conversion efficiency, but also further reduces nonlinear distortion. Each of the dual dynamic drivers consists of a flexible suspension diaphragm with a paper dome, and the high damping characteristics of the paper dome ensure that the dynamic driver does not generate additional resonance due to split vibration in the mids and highs, thus offering a smooth and natural timbre.
Acoustic Filtering Nozzle
The frequency division design of Blessing 3 is the result of a long period of repeated experimentation and modification that has resulted in even better acoustic measurements and subjective listening test results. As in previous versions, frequency division in Blessing 3 is performed by both a physical filter and a crossover circuit. The physical filter consists of a compact and efficient 3D-printed acoustic structure.
3D Printing Technology
Compared with the physical filtering structure of Blessing 2, the structural complexity of the innovative H.O.D.D.D.U.S. module adopted by Blessing 3 presented significant challenges in the manufacturing accuracy and reliability of 3D printing. After several years of in-depth cooperation, we have established a long-term strategic relationship with HeyGears, a leading 3D printing supplier. By upgrading and improving high-precision DLP-3D printing technology and equipment, we are constantly adapting to the increasingly stringent requirements of manufacturing accuracy and stability that our IEM designs require, thus making high-volume production of the complex structure of Blessing 3 possible.
Stainless Steel Faceplate
The brand-new Blessing 3 faceplate features an eye-catching interplay of light and shadow, achieved by precision CNC machining followed by meticulous hand-polishing of the aesthetically satisfying angular design.
Interchangeable Cable
Blessing 3 uses a universal 2-pin (0.78mm) interchangeable cable, which allows users to replace the cable with upgraded cables for monitoring, cables with microphones for calling/gaming, and Bluetooth cables for outdoor listening. These options are sold separately by Moondrop and various third-parties.
