Kadenz is the culmination of this series. It distills years of dynamic driver design and tuning into one final earphone, pushing sound further with driver design, material application, and fine adjustments.

Super-Linear Dynamic Driver
Kadenz utilizes a ULT-Gen2 patented super-linear dynamic driver that delivers significant improvements gained through the design of earlier models. Its new irregular magnetic circuit was designed using FEA finite element simulation and topology optimization, and features pressure balance channels for different frequency regions. The unique dome-shaped vent is used to suppress treble standing waves on the inside of the diaphragm and protect the diaphragm and coil from high dynamic stress.

TAC Diamond-Coated Dome Composite Diaphragm
The Kadenz dynamic driver incorporates a brand-new experimental TAC diamond-coated dome composite diaphragm.
Using LCP (liquid crystal polymer) as the dome substrate, a deposition process usually reserved for expensive precision devices creates a high-rigidity artificial diamond layer with a SP3 bond much higher than that of DLC, giving the dome material higher rigidity and more balanced internal damping than previous solutions. The result is greater extension and richer details in the treble region than previous generations of comparable drivers. Selecting flexible, high-damping polyurethane as the suspension material ensures better bass dynamics and lower distortion at large amplitudes. The Kadenz diaphragm composed of three high-performance materials results in a dynamic driver that is comparable to triple-frequency hybrids.
Internal Cavity Structure
In order to accommodate the newly developed driver, MOONDROP adjusted and verified the internal structure of the cavity through directional simulation, 3D printing tests and molding adjustments. After nearly one year of multiple verifications, the optimum acoustic cavity for a more balanced sound was achieved.
Interchangeable Nozzle Design
Because of individual differences in the structure of the ear canal, ultra-high frequency coupling will vary, and it is difficult to derive average values using standard ear simulators. In order to meet the demanding requirements of more discerning users for the treble coupling characteristics of headphones, Kadenz ships with three nozzles with different physical specifications. Users can select the nozzle that best matches their own ear canal coupling and personal preference, thus ensuring a higher quality listening experience aligned to one's needs.
Acoustic Filter
The nozzle is equipped with a brand-new improved third-generation patented anti-blocking filter that is more effective than previous iterations, greatly reducing oily earwax build-up, and offering better performance in the mid-high frequency band.
Shell Design
Kadenz has a modernist aesthetic design, infusing almost all surfaces with light and shadow, generating a richly-layered three-dimensional effect. The shell is cast using the MIM powder metallurgy process, which allows for irregularity while preserving high rigidity. Thanks to this process, the inner surface of the shell is subtly granular, contributing to the suppression of standing waves. After hand-polishing the outer shell, all surfaces undergo high-purpose sandblasting treatment to maintain clear edges, achieve a matte surface with an elegant texture, and improve wear resistance.
Interchangeable Cable
Kadenz uses a gold-plated 0.78mm 2-pin design with a sunken female socket, protecting the pins from strain and fracture, and ensuring excellent compatibility. Kadenz ships with a high-quality single-crystal copper silver-plated Litz cable, and is equipped a 4.4mm balanced plug along with a 3.5mm single-ended adapter and for easy matching to different playback devices. Users can optionally replace the included cable with one of their choice to expand usage scenarios.
USB-C DAC Included
Kadenz comes with the ECHO-B online interactive DSP USB-C decoding cable, which can decode 32-bit/384kHz high-resolution PCM audio sources and reproduce more music details. It has a 4.4mm fully balanced output, providing good power for the Kadenz. The ECHO-B uses a USB-C universal plug, making it compatible with smartphones, laptops, computers, and newer iPhone devices without needing a driver. It is compatible with MAC, PC, Android, and iOS, and offers lossless sound quality.
ECHO-B is equipped with a new online interactive DSP. In addition to the five built-in tuning configurations, users can also select different tuning configurations or customize parametric equalizers through the new MOONDROP APP. Users can download tuning optimization configurations contributed by others and upload their own tunings. Due to iOS limitations with regard to transferring data over USB, this function only supports Android smartphones.
