The processing power in Beam (Gen 2) renders two additional audio channels through the five speaker arrays and uses psychoacoustic HRTF technology to give the impression of height. Requires a TV that supports Dolby Atmos and Atmos-encoded content. Looking for more immersion from a soundbar? Sonos Arc has two internal speakers that physically fire audio upward for a truer height experience.

• Subwoofer: The small drivers in a soundbar struggle to reproduce lower frequency sounds. Add the wireless Sonos Sub to dramatically improve your experience — the subwoofer takes care of those lower frequencies, allowing your soundbar to strongly focus on the highs and mids.
  
• Rear Speakers:  A matching pair of the following speakers will work as surrounds: Sonos One, Sonos One SL, and Sonos Five. You can also use Sonos Amp to power in-wall, in-ceiling or other passive speakers as surrounds. Older products work too: Play:1, Play:3 and Play:5 (Gen 2) are compatible.
