A New Journey to the Texture of Sound.
Building on the acoustic foundation of its predecessor, the AR5000MK2 introduces further refinements to the driver unit and overall acoustic architecture. The result is improved frequency extension and seamless transition across the spectrum, delivering a natural, balanced, and vibrant tonality that faithfully reproduces the exquisite texture of music.
More Extended Highs
The AR5000MK2 features a 50mm open-back dynamic driver, continuing with the Multi-Layer Distributed (MLD) diaphragm structure. By balancing rigidity and damping, the MLD diaphragm effectively reduces breakup common in large-diameter diaphragms. For the MK2 version, further optimizations to the diaphragm material and surface treatment deliver clearer, more extended high frequencies and a more natural sense of air.
More Authoritative Bass
A newly optimized transducer internal airflow path and magnetic circuit structure improve diaphragm linearity and extend effective excursion. Compared to the previous generation, the AR5000MK2 achieves deeper bass extension and greater body, while maintaining an optimal balance of speed and layering—well controlled and articulate.
Natural and Seamless Full-Range Transition
The AR5000MK2 further refines the airflow path and acoustic reflections behind the diaphragm, resulting in smoother acoustic energy distribution and more natural transitions between frequency bands. The overall sound maintains excellent coherence, delivering a more natural and authentic reproduction of vocals and instruments.
Large-Tilt-Angle Acoustic Structure
The signature large-tilt-angel driver panel, paired with angled earpads, creates a unique acoustic architecture that delivers a profound sense of space. The AR5000MK2 offers outstanding vertical soundstage and imaging precision. The open grille design on the housing exterior, combined with side vents, balances airflow diffusion behind the driver and enhances the natural, open feel of the sound.
Super Comfortable
Building on the exceptional ergonomics of the previous generation, the full-size AR5000MK2 remains remarkably comfortable to wear. The optimized headband size and curvature improve fit across different head shapes — without excessive pressure on the head or clamping on the ears. The earpad is made of breathable acoustic memory foam and designed to fully cover the ear, allowing for extended listening sessions without fatigue.
Effortlessly Driven
The low impedance design of 28 ohms improves the compatibility of full-sized headphones. Portable devices with high quality, such as the Yuki, are already capable of driving the headphones to deliver impressive overall performance. Furthermore, its high-resolution nature allows it to scale unexpectedly when paired with desktop equipment, opening up endless possibilities.
Interchangeable Plug Cable
The AR5000MK2 comes with a high-spec interchangeable plug cable, featuring high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors and Litz braided structure for clean, efficient signal transmission. The modular plug system supports 3.5mm single-ended, 6.35mm single-ended, and 4.4mm balanced connections—robust, durable, and adaptable to a variety of devices and listening scenarios.
