It also features convenient microphone compatibility for those using IEMs with an in-line mic. Whether you're listening on your phone, tablet, or laptop, Protocol Micro gives you the freedom to tailor your sound wherever you go.
Built-In 8-Band PEQ
Most USB-C dongles simply play audio. Protocol Micro lets you shape it. Using EQ.Hangout.Audio on any compatible PC or macOS browser, you can adjust eight parametric EQ bands, fine-tuning frequency, gain, and bandwidth to match your headphones, correct tonal balance, or create your own sound signature. Once saved, your EQ profile is stored directly on the Protocol Micro. No companion app. No background software. Simply plug it into a compatible USB-C device and enjoy your preferred tuning.
Ultra-Low Output Impedance
Some DACs colour your IEMs, even before EQ. Protocol Micro features an output impedance of less than 0.4Ω, ensuring minimal interaction with your earphones. A Note on Durability
The Protocol Max and its modular USB-C cable system allows for enhanced longevity. For Protocol Micro, the ultra-compact dongle form factor necessitates a fixed cable design. To prolong the lifespan of Protocol Micro, minimize the bending force applied to the cable. A 3-month warranty period covers manufacturer's defects; the assumption with a dongle of this form factor and price point is that replacement will eventually become necessary following regular portable use.

The CrinEar warranty policy covers any factory defects that might affect the proper functionality of your purchase.
It does not cover any man-made damage due to human error, negligence, wear-and-tear, water exposure, theft, etc.
Outside of the first 30 days, customers are responsible for the cost of shipping or bringing the product back to Bay Bloor Radio in Toronto for analysis if required. For products deemed eligible under warranty, Bay Bloor Radio will cover the repair/replacement costs, along with return shipping costs within Canada back to the buyer.
