Yu6 G2

Powered Bookshelf Speakers

From records to streaming, Yu6 brings richer, room-filling sound into a thoughtfully connected system.

Room-filling hi-fi with deeper bass, greater output and effortless connectivity. Yu6 (2nd Gen) combines abaca paper cone woofers, USB-C audio, Bluetooth® and a built-in phono preamp.

These powered speakers don't need any external amplifiers or receivers — just plug and play. They're designed to fit easily into a range of listening setups, with connections for everyday sources and room to expand over time. USB-C, Optical, RCA, 3.5 mm AUX, and Bluetooth® 5.3 cover everything from laptops and phones to TVs. A selectable phono switch makes connecting a turntable simple, while the dedicated subwoofer output with high/low-pass filtering provides flexibility for adding more low-end.

Refined performance.

The second generation of Kanto’s most widely adopted speakers pairs deeper, more confident sound with the simple connections and everyday versatility that define the Yu family. It builds on everything that made the originals a staple of everyday listening — with re-engineered drivers, an updated amplifier platform, and DSP tuning that together deliver greater clarity, deeper low-frequency performance, and a more balanced presentation.

Fuller sound.

Built for everyday spaces, the second-generation Yu6 delivers clear, powerful sound that feels right at home wherever you listen. A 1” silk dome tweeter and 5.25” abaca paper cone woofer combine smooth detail with deeper, more authoritative bass. These re-engineered drivers, paired with advanced DSP tuning, deliver greater clarity, a more balanced sound signature, and sonic depth over previous models.

Greater headroom.

With powered Yu speakers, you get all the benefits of stereo sound without needing to invest in a separate receiver or amplifier. With its higher-powered amplifier platform — 130 W RMS amplification built-in — Yu6 (2nd Gen) delivers the scale and dynamic range to fill rooms while staying clear and composed.

Considered connectivity.

The Yu6 (2nd Gen) is designed to fit easily into a range of listening setups, with connections for everyday sources and room to expand over time. Seamlessly switch between sources: USB-C, Optical, RCA, 3.5 mm AUX, and Bluetooth® 5.3 cover everything from laptops and phones to TVs. A selectable phono preamplifier stage makes connecting a turntable simple, while the dedicated subwoofer output with high/low-pass filtering provides flexibility for adding more low-end.

Smarter bass.

Connect an external subwoofer and the automatic 80 Hz crossover redirects low frequencies, giving your system not just better bass, but greater clarity and effortless impact across the mids and highs.

Designed with intention.

Building on the familiar form of the original, Yu6 (2nd Gen) keeps the clean, approachable silhouette while refining the proportions, details, and laminate finish. The result stays true to the character that made the original series a favourite, while giving it a more considered, modern feel. Beneath the surface, refined cabinet geometry and acoustic detailing help extend low-end response and maintain a stable stereo image, even when listening off-axis. The changes are subtle, but the result is clear: a more natural, room-filling presentation in a form that feels refined, and effortless.

Simpler setup.

In the original Yu6, the primary active speaker had to be placed on the left, and the passive speaker on the right. Yu6 (2nd Gen) allows you to swap the active speaker position via a switch on the back of the speakers, allowing for simpler setup no matter where your power outlet is located.

Remote control.

The refined infrared remote has buttons for volume, playback, bass/treble adjustment, and input selection, letting you fine-tune your listening experience from afar.
