THE SOUND

A truly special object has entered the world, ready to redefine summit-fi listening — combining a bold, naturally flowing design with a level of sound realism and immersion that is better experienced rather than explained.

We designed ARTA to be technically capable and musically engaging in equal measure, and striking that balance was the whole point. We’ve treated resolution and immersion as two goals held in deliberate tension, since pushing hard for either one can unbalance the other. Rather than choose a side, we refined ARTA until it resolves detail with real precision and presents that detail as a coherent, immersive whole. You get the technical grip to hear deep into a recording and the musical ease to simply get lost in it.

We voiced ARTA for a rich, natural, speaker-like presentation with a strong sense of physical foundation.

Bass: It carries real weight and authority, sitting underneath and supporting the rest of the music with control and definition. We shifted the driver's resonant behaviour lower to give the low end its ease and authority.
Mids and treble: We tuned these so that no part of the frequency response pulls focus. When the upper mids or treble become too dominant, that sense of solidity disappears, so our voicing deliberately avoids any brightness that would work against it.
Overall: Coherent, immersive and three-dimensional, comfortable over long sessions, with exceptional detail retrieval and clear separation between layers. ARTA is a genuine all-rounder, and it is especially rewarding with classical, acoustic and jazz, live recordings and vocal material, progressive rock and metal, and atmospheric electronic music. Its wide bandwidth, low distortion, grounded low end and immersive presentation let the ARTA move comfortably across styles.

A FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT PLANAR MAGNETIC DRIVER

This level of technical performance is made possible through the use of an advanced new High Impedance Isodynamic® Hybrid Array driver developed by Rinaro Isodynamics: the MZ5 HΩ. It is the single highest impedance planar magnetic headphone transducer to date, delivering exceptional linearity, stability, and signal purity.

Rinaro Isodynamics has been at the forefront of planar magnetic technology for over 40 years. With a state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facility in Ukraine, Rinaro developed the Isodynamic® Hybrid Array technology, featured in the Empyrean, Elite, LIRIC, POET, and ARTA headphones.

225 OHMS OF IMPEDANCE* FOR EFFORTLESS CONTROL

Unlike conventional planar magnetic designs, which operate in a low-voltage, high-current mode, the MZ5 HΩ’s high impedance design allows it to operate in a high-voltage, low-current mode. This translates into unprecedented electrical linearity across the audible spectrum. Moreover, less current means less heat and stress on the diaphragm, allowing ARTA to deliver ultra-low distortion and dynamic compression at any listening volume. *Impedance varies along the frequency spectrum; nominal impedance 225Ω ±10%. Left and right drivers carefully matched for perfect channel balance.

UNIFORM FORCE DISTRIBUTION

The planar magnetic trace is 2.5 times longer, with a cross-sectional surface area 2.8 times smaller, achieving a higher-density trace geometry that spreads electromagnetic drive more evenly across the membrane. This results in incredibly consistent on-axis and off-axis response without localised stress points, and the membrane moves as a unified whole, preserving transient integrity and keeping distortion vanishingly low even at demanding listening levels.

EXCEPTIONAL THERMAL STABILITY

The new Rinaro Parus ARTA® membrane is made of a low-mass composite material, engineered to resist thermal drift during extended sessions. This keeps timbral accuracy and transient response consistent as the driver heats and cools, regardless of listening volume.

DUAL-SHAPED VOICE COIL ARRAY

Two coil geometries, each tuned to a specific frequency range. The switchback coil handles low frequencies from the upper driver position. The spiral coil reproduces mid-high frequencies directly toward the ear canal, ensuring the most direct path for sound, with no time delay.

ANGLED ACOUSTIC BLADES

ARTA’s open-back grille is composed of angled acoustic blades that help preserve the headphones’ sound quality while providing physical protection to the driver. The grille geometry is carefully designed to work in concert with the Rinaro MZ5 HΩ driver’s precision, ensuring that enclosure acoustics do not constrain the transducer’s performance.

SOURCE AND CABLE VERSATILITY

ARTA’s high-impedance* design minimises sensitivity to amplifier output impedance variations, ensuring the headphone's own acoustic character remains consistent regardless of amplification. Whether driven by tube or solid-state amplifiers, the tuning you hear is the tuning we designed, not an artifact of the electrical interface. That said, these headphones are a pure window into your entire signal chain: the subtle warmth of a tube amplifier, the precision of a high-end solid-state design, all faithfully reflected. WITH CABLES

The high impedance design ensures that cable resistance contributes negligibly to the total electrical load, preserving the headphone's intended character across a wide range of cable choices.

TWO HIGH-QUALITY CABLES INCLUDED

Two 2 m (6.6 ft) cables are included, each featuring silver-plated Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (LC-OFC) conductors arranged in a dual-strand configuration, with 161 individual conductors per strand. Insulated in SoftFlex PVC for enhanced comfort and flexibility, both cables incorporate CNC-anodized aluminum housings. One is terminated in a 6.3 mm single-ended jack, the other in a 4-pin XLR balanced connector, covering both single-ended and balanced listening.

The construction is optimized for low resistance, signal integrity, and long-term durability, ensuring seamless compatibility with a wide range of full-sized desktop amplifiers and high-end audio systems.

Warranty

ARTA comes with a 4-year warranty: 2 years standard, plus an additional 2 years when you register your headphones on MY MEZE any time during the first 2 years. During the warranty period, Meze Audio will repair or replace the product or parts at no charge in the event of defects in materials or workmanship. After the warranty period expires, you are responsible for the repair or replacement of the product. This warranty does not cover other related costs.

For the warranty to apply, presenting an original proof of purchase is required. The proof of purchase may be in the form of a receipt or bill of sale from an authorized dealer, and must include the model of the product and the date of purchase.

To activate the additional 2 years, the product must be registered on my.mezeaudio.com within the first 2 years of purchase. We recommend registering as soon as you receive your ARTA, since registration must take place before the standard 2-year period ends in order for the extension to apply.

This warranty DOES NOT cover cosmetic damage, acts of God, normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, commercial use, any modifications to the product, improper use, or improper connection. Additionally, it doesn't cover purchases from an unauthorized dealer or attempted repair by anyone other than Meze Audio or another authorized person or unit. This warranty is also void if the product was damaged by a product that it was used with, such as electrical fault of a connecting product.
